Job Description

Infrastructure Engineer

Location: 100% Remote (EST Hours)

Duration: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire

We’re supporting a global financial services organization that’s modernizing its infrastructure and investing heavily in automation. This team manages and scales enterprise Windows and cloud environments across AWS and Azure with a clear mission to eliminate manual work through scripting and Infrastructure as Code.

This isn’t a traditional “keep the lights on” Windows Admin role. Every engineer on this team writes PowerShell or Graph scripts to automate repetitive work, improve user provisioning, and streamline hybrid identity operations. You don’t need to be a developer, but you do need to think like one. If you do something twice, you automate it.

What You’ll Do

  • Write and maintain PowerShell or Microsoft Graph scripts to automate daily operational tasks
  • Support and optimize AWS Workspaces and EC2 instances (provisioning, reimaging, monitoring)
  • Manage and automate Entra ID (Azure AD) and on-prem AD integrations
  • Identify repetitive processes and build automations to simplify or eliminate manual effort
  • Collaborate with cloud, security, and DevOps teams to align automations with enterprise policy
  • Contribute to documentation, playbooks, and Infrastructure-as-Code practices

What You’ll Bring

  • 1-5 years of experience supporting Windows or Cloud environments
  • Strong PowerShell scripting skills (writing scripts from scratch, not just running them)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Graph API for O365 or Entra ID automation
  • Hands-on experience with AWS Workspaces (provisioning, troubleshooting, and automation)
  • Understanding of Azure AD / Entra ID, hybrid identity, and IAM concepts
  • Curiosity and an automation-first mindset — you like to fix things once through code

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Python, Terraform, or Ansible
  • Familiarity with AWS IAM, S3, EC2, or cost optimization
  • Jira or ServiceNow automation experience
  • Exposure to endpoint security tools (Defender, CrowdStrike, Proofpoint)

Why You’ll Love It

  • Work with engineers who automate everything they touch
  • 100% remote, cross-border collaboration (U.S. & Canada)
  • Fast-paced team that values curiosity, independence, and innovation
  • Long-term potential. Strong performers are extended or converted
