We’re looking for an experienced Security Engineer to establish and lead the internal security function for a fast-growing company operating at the intersection of AI and Cyber Security. This is a rare opportunity to shape the foundation of a company’s entire security posture - from tooling and monitoring to compliance and policy - while working in an environment that values both innovation and pragmatism.

As the first internally focused Security Engineer, you’ll architect security systems, processes and controls that protect the platform and empower engineering teams to move quickly and safely. You’ll take full ownership of cloud infrastructure security, automation, compliance readiness and internal policies - building scalable solutions that evolve with the business.

βœ… Must have requirements:

  • 5+ years’ hands-on experience in security engineering, with proven success implementing cloud security and internal security programs.
  • Self-starter mindset with the ability to independently design and execute a security roadmap from zero.
  • Pragmatic, product-minded security approach, and knowing how to balance security rigour with engineering speed.
  • Deep knowledge of AWS security (IAM, networking, encryption, monitoring) and experience with Terraform or similar IaC frameworks.
  • Experience implementing security tooling, such as SIEM platforms, vulnerability scanners and automated security checks.
  • Strong coding and scripting ability in Python and Bash, for automation and integration of security processes.
  • Understanding of SOC2 / ISO27001 or equivalent frameworks and how to translate them into technical controls.

πŸ‘ Bonus points for:

  • Having built security programs at early-stage or fast-scaling tech companies.
  • Previous background in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering.
  • Familiarity with container security (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with AI-driven or automated security workflows.
  • Exposure to cybersecurity products or SaaS environments.
