Network Security Engineer

Job Title: Network Security Engineer (Active SC Clearance Required)

Job Type: Contract

Location: Fully Remote

Day Rate: Up to £500/day (INSIDE IR35)

Contract Length: 6 Months (with the view to extend)

Network Security Engineer - Role & Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and implement Palo Alto Networks firewalls, including security policies, NAT, VPNs, and threat prevention features.
• Deploy and maintain SD-WAN solutions (e.g., Prisma SD-WAN, Cisco, or Fortinet) to improve network performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Monitor network traffic and firewall logs to detect and respond to security incidents.
• Utilise Panorama or API-based automation to centrally manage configurations, updates, and reporting.
• Maintain detailed documentation for network topology, security configurations, and change logs.

Network Security Engineer - Required Experience

• 5+ years' experience in Network Security projects
• Active SC Clearance
• Palo Alto (project work in secure, public sector environments)
• SD-WAN (Prisma SD-WAN ideally)
• Excellent communication skills
