C++ Developer - Freelance

We are looking for a C++ Developer Freelance.

The candidate will join the Austrian team working on Windows Desktop enterprise software, contributing both to the maintenance of legacy components in C++/MFC and to the development of more modern parts in C#.

Requirements

• Solid experience in C++ and Microsoft Foundation Classes (MFC)
• Knowledge of Windows Desktop applications
• Familiarity with FairCom databases (fixed record layout files)
• C# skills for the latest software components
• Ability to work on legacy code (software with over 20 years of history)

Language requirements

• Knowledge of English and German is essential - necessary both for daily collaboration with the Austrian team and because the source code and software documentation are in German.

Working conditions

Full remote position after an initial training period (max 2 week) in Vienna for handover. Occasional travel to Vienna is required for coordination with the Austrian team and will be reimbursed.

Project duration

Contract of at least one year with a strong possibility of extension.

Maximum daily rate: 290€
