Junior WordPress Developer - Part-time
About the role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior WordPress Developer to join our remote team. This role is focused on supporting our lead developer in maintaining and improving a portfolio of 30+ WordPress websites for clients across different industries—mostly from German-speaking countries.
All team communication is done in English.
If you're passionate about solving problems, eager to learn, and have hands-on experience with WordPress and Elementor, this is an excellent opportunity to grow in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining and updating multiple WordPress websites.
- Support in troubleshooting and fixing bugs or errors on older sites.
- Assist in migrating websites across hosting environments while ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Upload and format blog posts and other content regularly across different client sites.
- Assist in designing and building new websites using Elementor.
- Document tasks, processes, and updates by creating SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) or technical reports.
- Collaborate closely with the lead developer to prioritize and execute daily tasks.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience with WordPress development and Elementor.
- Comfortable working with different hosting environments and performing basic migrations.
- Good understanding of common web development issues and how to troubleshoot them.
- Basic HTML, CSS, and familiarity with plugins and themes.
- Ability to follow instructions, learn quickly, and document processes.
- Proactive attitude and strong problem-solving skills.
- Advanced English level (written and spoken) — our communication is fully in English.
- Attention to detail and commitment to deliver quality work.
Desired skills
- Familiarity with tools like WP Migrate, ACF (Advanced Custom Fields), or similar.
- Experience with creating SOPs or working with knowledge bases.
- Understanding of SEO basics and performance optimization in WordPress.
- Basic experience with Git or version control systems.
- Experience with Oxygen Builder.
