Key responsibilities

  • Performing electrical acceptance and maintenance testing.
  • Inspecting, testing, and troubleshooting power systems, including switchgear, transformers, and circuit breakers.
  • Collecting data from electrical equipment.
  • Ensuring equipment and systems are safe and reliable according to NETA standards.
  • Conducting start-up procedures for new electrical equipment.

Required Skills And Qualifications

  • NETA level 2 or 3 certification
  • A strong understanding of electrical theory, testing equipment (e.g., multimeters, insulation resistance testers), and electrical safety procedures
  • Familiarity with NETA, NEC, OSHA, and NFPA standards is often required.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and good communication skills are essential.
