Senior Software Engineer | Cloud Platform | Tokyo (Hybrid) | Build for Scale and Impact
We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join a new technology venture that’s building advanced cloud-based platforms to support large-scale industrial solutions. This is a rare opportunity to help shape an engineering culture from the ground up while working with cutting-edge cloud architecture, data systems, and high-performance software.
Instead of maintaining legacy systems, you’ll help design and deliver scalable, high-availability cloud applications that power real-world products across industries.
What You’ll Do
- Design and develop backend systems and APIs using modern languages and frameworks
- Build reliable, high-performance applications on AWS or Azure
- Lead technical discussions and drive decisions on architecture and scalability
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams — software, data, and product — to turn ideas into production systems
- Improve development practices, CI/CD pipelines, and system reliability
- Contribute to open, agile teamwork and technical mentorship
- 5+ years of backend or full-stack development experience
- Strong background in one or more: Python, Go, Java, or TypeScript
- Solid experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and microservice architecture
- Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes, REST/gRPC APIs, and modern DevOps workflows
- Business-level English (Japanese is a plus)
- Curiosity, ownership, and a passion for building quality systems at scale
