Job Description
Lead PHP / Laravel Developer – Fully Remote (UK only) – £80k+
Here at Venchr, we’re partnering with a fast-growing SaaS company that’s transforming financial management in the luxury and yachting sector. Their platform combines accounting, payments, FX, and project management tools into one powerful solution, helping clients across the globe simplify complex operations.
They’re now looking for a skilled PHP / Laravel Developer to join their fully remote UK-based engineering team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for building and scaling backend systems, integrating APIs, and working closely with product managers and designers to deliver new features. Beyond development, you’ll play a key role in improving performance, strengthening security, and shaping the long-term technical direction of the platform.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience with PHP and Laravel
- Strong knowledge of relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, caching, and background jobs
- Familiarity with modern development workflows — version control, testing, and best practices
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fully remote team
- (Bonus) Experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes
- (Bonus) Background in fintech, SaaS, or payment systems
