Support the design and delivery of enterprise microservices, integrations, and distributed systems across banking and fintech applications. Work closely with senior architects to design services, define integration flows, and create architectural documentation while transitioning from backend engineering to architecture.
💡 WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Support design of enterprise microservices, integration layers, and cloud-native solutions
- Assist in defining service boundaries, domain models, API contracts, and event schemas
- Produce architecture deliverables: sequence diagrams, mapping sheets, deployment models
- Ensure alignment between design decisions and technical implementation
- Contribute to canonical data models and integration patterns
- Work with senior architects to validate solutions and approaches
- Review implementation work and identify gaps, risks, or deviations
- Collaborate with backend, DevOps, and QA teams for high-quality delivery
🎯 WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Technical Expertise
- 4-7 years in software engineering or technical integration roles
- Proficiency in Java/Spring Boot and backend development
- Understanding of microservices and distributed system fundamentals
- Experience with REST APIs, integration patterns, and event-driven systems
- Familiarity with API Gateways (Kong is a plus)
- Experience with Kafka or Azure EventHub
- Understanding of OAuth2, OIDC, JWT, and gRPC
- Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes
- Basic experience with CI/CD and Git workflows
Security & Architecture
- Awareness of scalability, performance, resilience, observability requirements
- Familiarity with distributed tracing, metrics, logging, monitoring
- Understanding of cloud deployment architectures (Azure preferred)
Domain Knowledge (Nice to Have)
- Good understanding of banking, fintech, or payment workflows
- Exposure to digital platforms or financial applications
