We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Network Engineer to join our fully remote team in Australia. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain secure, reliable, and scalable network infrastructure to support our growing operations.
๐ฏ Key Responsibilities- Design, configure, and maintain network systems including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs
- Monitor network performance and ensure high availability and reliability
- Troubleshoot network issues and resolve outages efficiently
- Implement network security best practices and collaborate with security teams
- Support cloud networking across AWS, Azure, or GCP environments
- Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and configuration records
- Perform network capacity planning and recommend improvements
- Assist with onboarding new tools, technologies, and network architectures
- 2โ5 years of experience in network engineering or similar roles
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and firewalls
- Experience with network devices from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, or similar
- Understanding of network security principles and best practices
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, PRTG, Datadog)
- Experience with cloud networking (AWS VPC, Azure VNets, GCP networking)
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills
- Able to work independently in a remote-first environment
- Based in Australia with full working rights
Nice to Have
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, or equivalent
- Experience with SD-WAN technologies
- Knowledge of automation or scripting (Python, Bash, Ansible)
- Exposure to Zero Trust or modern security frameworks
