Description

SAIC is seeking an experienced Senior ServiceNow Developer with deep expertise across Hardware Asset Management (HAM), Software Asset Management (SAM), and IT Operations Management (ITOM) Discovery. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing robust ServiceNow solutions that support enterprise asset lifecycle management and operational visibility. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills, hands-on configuration experience, and the ability to translate business requirements into scalable platform capabilities.

This role is fully remote and can be worked from anywhere within the United States.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and configure ServiceNow applications and modules, with a focus on HAM, SAM, and ITOM Discovery.
  • Implement and maintain automated workflows, integrations, and custom applications within the ServiceNow platform.
  • Lead technical solutioning efforts, ensuring adherence to best practices, coding standards, and platform governance.
  • Develop and optimize ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, and CMDB health across ITOM components.
  • Configure and enhance HAM/SAM processes, including asset lifecycle automation, reconciliation, license compliance, and vendor management.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define user stories, and deliver high-quality technical solutions.
  • Troubleshoot issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes.
  • Mentor junior members of the team and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices.
  • Support platform upgrades, patching, and overall instance maintenance.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 9 years of relevant experience, or a Masters and 7 years of relevant experience
  • 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
  • Strong proficiency in ServiceNow HAM, SAM, and ITOM, including Discovery, Service Mapping, CMDB, and asset lifecycle workflows.
  • Experience with JavaScript, Glide API, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, and API integrations (REST/SOAP).
  • Deep understanding of CMDB architecture, CSDM alignment, and data model best practices.
  • Proven experience designing technical solutions for enterprise-scale environments.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ServiceNow certifications preferred (e.g., CSA, CAD, CIS-HAM, CIS-SAM, CIS-ITOM).
  • Experience integrating ServiceNow with third-party systems (SCCM, JAMF, Intune, monitoring tools, etc.).
  • Background working in ITAM/ITOM-heavy environments or large enterprises.
  • Agile/Scrum experience.
  • Ability to provide thought leadership on platform strategy and architectural decisions.

Target salary range: $160,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
