We’re partnering with a fast-growing US technology company to bring on an experienced DevOps / Platform Engineer to join their distributed engineering team. This is a remote, long-term, independent contractor role open exclusively to professionals based in Latin America.
You’ll play a key role in building scalable infrastructure, optimizing CI/CD, and supporting cloud-based systems across multiple environments.
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for efficient, reliable deployments.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration (Terraform or similar).
- Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and design teams to streamline workflows.
- Plan and maintain secure, scalable cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred; Azure/GCP also valued).
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and observability best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development, deployment, and operations.
- Create and maintain clear documentation for infrastructure and processes.
- 4+ years in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Software Engineering.
- Strong experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred).
- 3+ years working with IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi, or Ansible).
- Solid experience with containers & orchestration (Docker, ECS, Kubernetes).
- Familiar with IAM, cloud security, and CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with distributed teams.
- Experience managing multi-account AWS environments.
- Background in software development (JavaScript or PHP).
- Ability to query SQL/NoSQL databases.
- Assertive, proactive communication style.
- Bachelor’s degree in CS, IT, or equivalent practical experience.
- AWS certification (Associate or higher) is a strong plus.
