About the Role
This is a production-oriented role with strong DevOps responsibilities, focused on the Avaloq Banking Suite. You’ll ensure smooth, reliable deployments for Avaloq Core and Front components, while driving automation and scalability across our release processes.

- Release Planning & Governance: Own release calendars, manage cut‑over planning, chair go/no‑go meetings, and ensure audit‑ready documentation.
- Packaging & Deployment: Oversee software packaging, branch/merge strategy, and execute Avaloq deployments, upgrades, and fixes.
- Environment Management: Maintain and refresh PROD/TEST/MIG environments, configure Avaloq components, and manage integration streams.
- Automation & DevOps: Build CI/CD pipelines, automate tasks, implement Infrastructure as Code, and support containerisation initiatives.
- Production Support: Monitor system health, resolve incidents, manage Avaloq service requests, and provide occasional weekend support (time‑in‑lieu).
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Minimum 3 years Avaloq experience is essential
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (GitLab, Jenkins, or similar)
- Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux and Oracle/SQL databases
- Proven ability to deliver complex production cut-overs
- Shell scripting for automation
- Excellent troubleshooting and log-analysis skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
Desirable:
- Exposure to OpenShift, Kubernetes, and containerisation
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible)
- Experience with Agile/DevOps frameworks and tools (Argo CD, Jira)
- Knowledge of monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)
- ITIL or DevOps certifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Avaloq certification (e.g., ACCP) highly regarded
- ITIL or DevOps certifications desirable
