Role Description
This is a full-time remote Cyber Security and Risk Assessment Intern position at Ontap. The intern will assist in identifying, analyzing, and mitigating cybersecurity risks to ensure the company’s digital infrastructure is secure. Daily tasks will include conducting assessments of application, network, and information security, assisting with implementing security protocols, and contributing to incident response efforts. Additionally, the intern will collaborate with cross-functional teams to raise awareness around best security practices and stay updated on the latest cyber threats and trends.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of Application Security and related protection measures
- Understanding of general Cybersecurity principles and practices
- Basic understanding of Network Security and Information Security concepts
- Strong interest in cybersecurity and hands-on experience with relevant tools or frameworks
- Ability to analyze issues critically and propose viable security solutions
- Effective communication skills and eagerness to learn in a collaborative environment
- Enrollment in or recent completion of a degree program in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
