Job Description: Cloud Engineer (Remote — United States)
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to design, build, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure and services. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with modern cloud platforms, automation, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code. This is a fully remote position open to applicants located within the United States.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage scalable, secure cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Implement Infrastructure-as-Code using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
- Build CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments and testing.
- Monitor cloud systems for performance, availability, and security.
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement preventive solutions.
- Collaborate with DevOps, development, and security teams to optimize cloud solutions.
- Manage container-based deployments using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Maintain documentation for cloud architecture, processes, and configurations.
- Ensure compliance with security best practices and cloud governance policies.
Required Qualifications
- 3-8+ years of experience as a Cloud Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or similar role.
- Strong expertise with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Proficiency with Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar IaC tools.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts (VPCs, security groups, firewalls, DNS, load balancing).
- Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment
