Job Description
Computer Vision Engineer – Drone Systems (m/w/d)
Salary : €80–100k | Hybrid (3 days onsite) Relocation (€2.5k) + Visa Support Available
We are a rapidly growing deep-tech organisation operating at the intersection of aerospace engineering, defence systems, robotics, and machine learning. Our work focuses on building next-generation counter-drone technologies that provide democratic nations with the tools needed to stay safe in an increasingly complex world.
Modern conflict has made one thing clear:
drones have reshaped warfare — and defence systems must evolve just as quickly.
We are developing advanced airborne capabilities, combining cutting-edge AI with aerospace-grade engineering. To accelerate this mission, we are now looking for a Computer Vision Engineer who wants to build technology that genuinely matters.
You will work on:
- Designing CV algorithms for object detection, tracking, collision avoidance, and aerial perception
- Radar data processing and soldier-facing visualisation tools
- Integrating CV + ML components into real drone hardware
- Improving data pipelines for training, validation, and evaluation
- Working closely with ML engineers, software engineers, and hardware teams
- NDA-restricted military projects with direct CEO collaboration
How You Will Make an Impact
- Design & implement algorithms for real-time drone perception
- Build and refine object detection + object tracking models
- Develop radar-to-vision representations and sensor fusion workflows
- Create data collection & training pipelines
- Work hand-in-hand with hardware engineers to integrate CV models into deployed systems
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and cross-functional design sessions
- Bring aerospace-level robustness and reliability to our CV stack
This role offers true ownership — the scope grows with your skill and ambition.
What You Need to Succeed
Must-Haves
- 4–5+ years of professional Computer Vision experience
- Strong proficiency in Python & C++
- Deep experience with object detection (top priority)
- Strong foundation in object tracking & OpenCV
- Experience visualising or processing radar or similar sensor data
- Understanding of hardware integration (embedded systems, drones, sensors)
- Aerospace or defence experience (not automotive)
- Strong technical communication skills
- English speaking
Nice-to-Have
- Experience working on defence, robotics, drones, or high-reliability systems
- Experience with sensor fusion, Kalman filters, or real-time systems
- Contributions to production ML/CV systems
