Job Title: Implementation Engineer – MOW
Location: LATAM (excluding Colombia & Costa Rica) or India - Remote
Employment Type: Year-long Contract (with annual extensions)
Pay Rate: $12-15 USD per hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST (Weekend availability required)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Implementation Engineer with deep expertise in data center networking technologies to join our global team. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on implementation and migration experience with Cisco Nexus and Arista platforms, along with comprehensive knowledge of modern data center architectures and protocols. This role requires a professional capable of designing, implementing, and migrating complex network infrastructures in enterprise environments.
Key ResponsibilitiesNetwork Implementation & Migration
- Design and implement spine-leaf architectures in data center environments
- Configure and deploy Cisco Nexus switches and Arista platforms
- Execute network migrations with minimal disruption to production environments
- Implement VXLAN, ECMP, and FabricPath technologies in large-scale deployments
Protocol Configuration & Optimization
- Configure and optimize BGP routing with route reflectors and confederations
- Implement and manage virtual port channels (vPC) and overlay networking
- Troubleshoot complex network issues during implementation phases
- Ensure network scalability and performance through proper architecture design
Technical RequirementsRequired Expertise
- Recent, hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus switches (within past 2 years)
- Proven implementation and migration experience - not just troubleshooting
- Deep understanding of spine-leaf architecture and its advantages over traditional three-tier designs
- Practical experience with VXLAN for scalable Layer 2 overlay networks
- ECMP configuration and optimization for load balancing and redundancy
- Advanced BGP knowledge including attributes, route reflectors, and confederations
- FabricPath implementation experience for scalable data center fabrics
Implementation Skills
- Ability to design and deploy complete network solutions
- Experience with data center migration projects
- Configuration and deployment of Nexus and Arista platforms
- Network architecture planning and execution
QualificationsRequired Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years in network implementation engineering roles
- Recent, hands-on Cisco Nexus experience (within past 2 years)
- Proven track record of network migration and deployment projects
- Experience with large-scale data center implementations
Technical Knowledge
- Spine-leaf architecture: Flat network design, reduced latency, improved east-west traffic
- VXLAN: Virtual Extensible LAN as overlay technology, scalability beyond VLAN limits
- ECMP: Equal-cost multi-path routing for bandwidth utilization and redundancy
- BGP: AS Path, Next Hop, Local Preference, MED, Community attributes
- Route reflectors & confederations: Reducing full-mesh requirements
- Cisco Nexus architecture: vPC, FabricPath, Layer 2/3 operations
- FabricPath: Scalable, loop-free Layer 2 fabric technology
Work Environment
- 100% Remote - LATAM (excluding Colombia/Costa Rica) or India
- EST Time Zone (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday-Friday)
- Weekend availability required for maintenance windows
