Chief Architect - OS Performance Group

This highly regarded, world leading, technology developer is urgently seeking a Chief Architect to head up their OS performance group based at their R+D centre in Cambridge. The Chief Architect will be responsible for overseeing the development, performance optimisation, simulation and modelling of a new mobile operating system. The Chief Architect will be working with a team of very highly qualified individuals sitting right at the intersection of HW and SW working with CPU microarchitectures or similar, improving OS performance.

Having completed you Degree / Masters / PhD in a relevant field you will have gained extensive experience working with CPU microarchitecture simulation (gem5, QEMU) and optimisation with some exposure to OS or mobile OS performance optimisation and simulation. Coupled with this you should be able to demonstrate significant mobile OS and/ or CPU microarchitecture development experience (iOS, Android, Tizen, Symbian etc.) or have an in-depth knowledge of mobile chipsets.

The successful candidate can expect a fully flexible salary and package including a significant base salary (£200K+ with lots of flexibility for the right individual) and very generous benefits package.
