About the Opportunity:
The organization is a global technology-driven real estate brokerage operating across the U.S., Canada, India, and the District of Columbia. The team is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer Tech Lead to drive QA automation strategy across web, mobile, and API platforms, designing and maintaining scalable automated testing frameworks while guiding engineers.
Responsibilities:
• Lead QA automation for web, mobile, and API projects
• Serve as technical lead for the automation team, establishing best practices and frameworks
• Design and maintain automated test suites using Playwright and Detox
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and QA peers to define acceptance criteria and test strategies
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing and deployment
• Identify and implement improvements to automation coverage, performance, and efficiency
• Participate in code reviews to promote testability and maintainability
• Mentor and coach QA engineers
• Champion quality-first development practices including TDD and BDD
• Drive adoption of modern tools and processes for software reliability and delivery speed
Requirements:
• Work EST hours regardless of location
• US residency required; sponsorship provided if needed
• Strong expertise in TypeScript and Playwright for web application testing
• Proficiency in designing and writing automated tests for web, mobile, and API layers
• Experience with CI/CD automation pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI)
• Proven leadership skills in mentoring QA or SDET teams
• Solid understanding of TDD and BDD
• Analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
• 7+ years in QA automation, SDET, or similar roles with a focus on web, mobile, and API testing
• Experience with Playwright, Detox, and modern QA frameworks required
• Prior experience leading automation initiatives or as a QA technical lead preferred
