Job Role: E-commerce & Graphic Designer

Compensation range: $1,000 AUD - $1,250 AUD / Monthly

Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement

Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you'll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

Who The Client Is: Established in 2005 on Maling Road in Canterbury, this family-run chocolatier has spent nearly two decades creating premium Belgian couverture chocolates that blend tradition, creativity, and memorable flavor experiences.

Role Overview: We are seeking a versatile, detail-oriented E-commerce & Graphic Designer to support our online operations and visual brand presence. This hybrid role combines creativity and technical execution, ideal for someone who can manage e-commerce platforms while producing high-quality visual assets for marketing, product pages, and digital campaigns.

Key Responsibilities:

E-commerce Management

  • Manage and update product listings (titles, descriptions, pricing, inventory, variants)
  • Upload and optimize product photos, banners, and promotional graphics
  • Monitor product performance, reviews, and customer inquiries across platforms
  • Coordinate and execute promotional campaigns (discounts, bundles, seasonal sales)
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency across storefronts Track performance metrics such as conversion rates, traffic, sales, and abandoned carts
  • Assist in order processing, fulfillment coordination, and customer support tasks as needed

Graphic Design & Content Creation

  • Design marketing materials such as product graphics, banners, promos, email visuals, and social media creatives
  • Create high-quality digital assets that follow brand guidelines and support e-commerce initiatives
  • Develop product mockups, lifestyle graphics, and simple video edits when needed
  • Collaborate with marketing and content teams to ensure visually cohesive campaigns
  • Maintain and update the brand's visual asset library


Requirements

  • Experience in e-commerce management (Shopify, WooCommerce, Amazon, or marketplace platforms)
  • Strong graphic design skills with proficiency in Canva, Adobe Photoshop, or Illustrator
  • Understanding of e-commerce best practices, product page optimization, and online merchandising
  • Ability to create consistent, on-brand designs across multiple platforms
  • Basic knowledge of analytics tools (Shopify Analytics, Google Analytics, FB Ads metrics) is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and manage deadlines


Nice to have

  • Experience with basic video editing (CapCut, Premiere, or similar tools)
  • Experience with email marketing tools (Klaviyo, Mailchimp)
  • Knowledge of SEO for product listings
  • Familiarity with social media scheduling tools
