Job Description


Our client is seeking a Senior Data/AI/ML Software Engineer with 7+ years of experience in AI/ML software engineering, specifically with data-intensive systems. You should be comfortable designing, implementing, and improving core components of a clinical data intelligence platform, with a strong background in software engineering, AI/ML/NLP engineering, and data analytics/engineering. Bonus points if you have familiarity with healthcare and medical domains.


What you'll do:

  • Build and improve clinical/health information extractors and summarizers that directly power applications used by clinicians daily.

Seniority

7+ years of experience of full-​time (not internships or contract work) experience in AI/ML or full stack software engineering


Work experience

  • Built and improved production ML/NLP software systems primarily handling text/unstructured data.​
  • Hands-​on experience in scraping,​ collecting,​ extracting,​ transforming,​ querying,​ analyzing,​ mining,​ distilling,​ and summarizing structured/unstructured data.​
  • Directly worked on improving quality/performance of systems powered by document classifiers,​ information extraction,​ cleaning/integration,​ summarization,​ retrieval,​ semantic search,​ knowledge graphs,​ statistical/neural machine learning methods,​ and LLMs.​
  • Familiarity with healthcare and medical domains


Education

CS or Engineering from top 50 school;​ advanced degrees (Master's,​ PhD) in relevant fields are a plus


Hard skills

  • Strong Python for data wrangling/munging
  • Strong software engineering skills
  • Strong SQL,​ relational data modeling,​ Django ORM
  • Strong data/ML engineering skills

You must be able to work during core hours in the Pacific time zone. For compliance reasons, we cannot employ outside the United States.
