Oracle IAM Lead / Solution Architect (Hands-On)
Role Summary:
Lead the design and implementation of Oracle Identity & Access Management (IAM) solutions, with a focus on Oracle Access Manager (OAM), Oracle Identity Manager (OIM), and related components. This is a hybrid role combining architectural leadership with deep hands-on execution. You will shape strategy, design scalable solutions, and actively participate in building and integrating them.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement end-to-end IAM solutions using Oracle IAM stack (OAM, OIM, OUD/OID).
- Translate business and security requirements into technical designs and working implementations.
- Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot IAM components directly—no delegation only.
- Lead application onboarding for SSO and provisioning, including connector customization and policy setup.
- Define identity lifecycle and access governance models (RBAC/ABAC) and ensure their technical enforcement.
- Evaluate and integrate complementary solutions (MFA, Identity Governance, PAM, etc.) as needed.
- Mentor and guide the implementation engineer and interface with stakeholders and vendors.
- Own documentation, operational handoff, and post-deployment stabilization.
Core Skills:
- Expert-level knowledge of Oracle IAM technologies (OAM, OIM, OUD), including installation, configuration, and integration.
- Strong understanding of protocols like SAML, OAuth2, OIDC, LDAP, and Kerberos.
- Proficiency with SOA composites, event handlers, authentication plugins, and connector customization.
- Experience with WebLogic, certificates/SSL, and scripting (WLST, Shell, or Python).
Experience Required:
- 10+ years of IAM experience, with at least 3 years in Oracle IAM.
- Proven ability to deliver hands-on technical work and system design simultaneously.
- Experience leading or executing full-cycle IAM implementations across multiple environments.
