This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an Embedded Test Engineer in the United States.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the development and verification of next-generation aerospace power distribution electronics in a fully remote environment. You will design, implement, and execute embedded unit tests on Arm Cortex and PIC microcontrollers while ensuring compliance with rigorous safety and certification standards. The position involves independent review of test cases, integration of third-party V&V tests, and the use of automation tools for CI/CD pipelines. You will work within a small, highly motivated team, providing exposure to both software and hardware testing, and the chance to expand your expertise across safety-critical aerospace systems. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced technical environment.

  • Accountabilities:
  • Develop and execute high-level and low-level unit tests in Embedded C for Arm Cortex and PIC microcontrollers.
  • Verify and validate software according to DO-178 certification requirements.
  • Independently review design, test cases, and test procedures to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Integrate and assess third-party V&V vendor tests.
  • Track and report issues using problem reporting tools and maintain detailed V&V documentation.
  • Utilize Vectorcast and other automation tools to streamline testing and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaborate with team members on continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to process optimization.
  • Requirements:
  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical & Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3–5 years of professional experience in embedded software testing.
  • U.S. Citizenship required (ITAR, CUI, NOFORN compliance).
  • Proficiency in embedded software languages and debugging tools.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies (Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma).
  • Experience with Agile and Waterfall development approaches.
  • Familiarity with DO-178 certification process from design to certification.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, project management, and organizational skills.
