Software Engineer (Relocation Required - Czech Republic)
Location: Around Cheb area, Czech Republic
Position Summary
You will be responsible for on-site commissioning and rigorous testing for diverse projects, focusing on system integration and client-specific solutions. This is a fully on-site position requiring regular collaboration with project and client teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, information technology, or related field.
- Knowledge of network hardware, protocols, and standards, including TCP/IP, FTP, and SOA.
- Knowledge of database design and file management techniques.
- Knowledge of network and PC operating systems, including Linux, Microsoft Windows.
- Good written and verbal communication, including technical writing skills.
- Good Client-facing skills.
- Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) experience.
- Exposure to project-based work structures, project lifecycle models, etc.
- Team player who works well with technical and non-technical team members and stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Basic English communication and writing skills.
Your Responsibilities
- Working with Software Project Management by participating in project planning activities throughout the lifetime of the project.
- Assisting Software Quality Assurance and Development teams with clarification of requirements.
- Developing test plans to verify the logic of new or modified programs.
- Providing valuable input to R&D and WCS/WES roadmap initiatives identified from Client engagements and feedback.
- Contribute to lessons learned documentation post-project go-live.
- Running onsite test plans to verify the logic of new or modified programs.
- Assisting with Lifecycle Services with high-tier support tickets.
- Remaining abreast of industry technical trends and new developments to maintain current skills and remain current with industry standards.
- Working closely with the Software team to develop software platforms/applications based on the Client’s needs.
- Identify and implement process improvements.
Nice To Have
- Experience in Warehouse Execution Systems (WES)
- Experience in Warehouse Control Systems (WCS)
- Experience in diagnosing transactions in J2EE and C++ environments
- Experience with Agile methodologies
SALARY: As a contractor, the base salary is €25-€50 based on your qualification. All associated expenses, including housing, and general living costs, are the responsibility of the employee.
Initial relocation or financial assistance can be provided upon request and gradually deducted from future earnings.
This is a contract-based position with an initial 3, 6, 12 months probationary period. Following successful completion of the probation, the contract may be extended for more time based on performance
