Cloud Site Reliability Engineer (AWS/Azure)

Fully Remote – US Citizens Only


Leidos is hiring a senior-level Cloud SRE to help modernize and operate large-scale cloud systems for the US Coast Guard. This is a high-impact role focused on reliability, security, automation, and multi-cloud engineering across AWS and Azure.


What you’ll do

  • Design and run highly available, fault-tolerant cloud systems (AWS + Azure)
  • Define, track, and improve SLIs/SLOs/SLAs
  • Build Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM
  • Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, AWS CodePipeline)
  • Implement monitoring and alerting with Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, Azure Monitor
  • Lead incident response and postmortems
  • Embed reliability into application design with engineering teams
  • Ensure cloud security best practices: IAM, VPC design, encryption, zero trust
  • Drive continuous improvement and cloud modernization initiatives
  • Partner with cybersecurity, networking, and program leadership


What you’ll need

  • US Citizen with Public Trust + ability to obtain Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree + 12 years’ SRE/DevOps/cloud infrastructure experience
  • Deep hands-on expertise in both AWS and Azure
  • Strong scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
  • Production Kubernetes experience
  • Solid understanding of networking, DNS, load balancing, security protocols
  • Experience with incident management and on-call rotations
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Certifications like AWS DevOps Engineer or Azure Solutions Architect


Nice to have

  • Multi-cloud architecture experience
  • Background in software engineering or systems administration
  • Experience supporting DHS/USCG or other federal cloud programs
  • Experience with hybrid cloud, data mesh, streaming, or advanced telemetry


Salary

$126,100–$227,950 depending on experience and location.
