Job Overview
Leadership of the cloud engineering function across the Trust including the development, implementation, optimisation and maintenance of the trust's cloud-based systems, supporting the Technical Architect in delivering trustwide IT projects and solutions.
Responsible for applying software engineering practices to build and
maintain a systemwide Cloud Environment, architectecting, building and
deploying new solutions based on internal customer needs. management.
To be a subject matter expert. Have in-depth knowledge and significant
first-hand experience of architecting, building and optimising cloud
solutions. Develop and deliver training and coaching for other digital
colleagues including technical training on relevant architecture, software
packages, languages or technical approaches as well as requirements
gathering, specification, design and implementation.
Main duties of the job
- Assist the Technical architect with strategic definition and development of the Trust Cloud architecture. The Trust IT architecture covers clinical and non-clinical systems and support for links and access with the wider healthcare community.
- Act as the Trust's Cloud Technical Design Authority who provides a focus for Infrastructure elements of design across all IT systems, hardware and software. Manages the development and adherence to the IT architecture and participates in project governance ensuring alignment of projects within the architectural IT roadmap and strategy of the Trust.
- Lead the implementation of cloud architecture solutions across a group of clinical and business applications or technologies based on enterprise business strategy, architecture principles, business capabilities and business requirements.
- Develop and maintain cloud solutions in accordance with best practices and ensure adherence to legal and mandated technology standards such as DSPT and cyber essentials.
- Apply software engineering practices to build and maintain a system wide Azure environment.
- Architect, build and operate new solutions based on internal customer needs
