We are seeking a Senior NestJS Developer to join our team in LATAM. This remote role provides the opportunity to collaborate with a dynamic team on exciting projects while ensuring seamless coordination across time zones.

As a Senior Technical Consultant, you will participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle which includes estimating, technical design, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment, and support of applications developed for our clients. As a member working in a team environment, you will take direction from solution architects and Leads on development activities.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in technical planning and requirements gathering, designing modular, testable, and maintainable backend architectures specifically within the NestJS framework.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality APIs (REST and GraphQL) and microservices using NestJS, TypeScript, and RxJS.
  • Leverage NestJS features such as Dependency Injection, Modules, Decorators, Guards, Pipes, and Interceptors to ensure code modularity and reusability.
  • Ensure adherence to industry best practices for backend development, including performance optimization, security (Helmet, CORS), and scalability.
  • Work with databases such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL, utilizing ORMs ideally suited for NestJS (such as TypeORM or Prisma).
  • Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps, and other stakeholders to deliver seamless, high-performing applications.
  • Work with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for deployment and automation.
  • Stay up to date with the NestJS ecosystem updates and modern backend development trends.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in backend development with Node.js and TypeScript.
  • 3+ years of specific, hands-on experience designing and building applications using NestJS.
  • Deep proficiency in TypeScript (interfaces, types, generics) is mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), SOLID principles, Dependency Injection, and Event-Driven Architecture.
  • Experience working with relational and non-relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB) and proficiency with TypeORM or Prisma.
  • Familiarity with API development standards, authentication strategies (OA uth, JWT, Passport.js strategy implementation), and security best practices.
  • Experience with cloud services (AWS, Az ure, GCP) and working with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong debugging, problem-solving, and investigative skills, with the ability to analyze logs and troubleshoot production issues.
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Self-starter with highly effective assertive commun ication and collaboration skills.
