Product Security Lead- Limerick (4 Days Onsite)

Location: Limerick, Ireland (4 days onsite required)
Key Responsibilities
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing cybersecurity engineering team, including coaching junior engineers.
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive, growth-oriented team culture.
- Guide technical direction and ensure strong security standards are applied across projects.
- Deliver a long-term product security roadmap aligned with enterprise cybersecurity objectives.
- Set and monitor clear metrics for security maturity, vulnerability trends, and performance.
- Provide technical leadership in secure architecture, threat modeling, and vulnerability management.
- Act as a key cybersecurity advisor in design reviews, risk assessments, and incident planning.
- Partner closely with R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Software Engineering, and leadership teams.
- Ensure security-by-design principles are embedded throughout the product lifecycle.
- Work with post-market teams on patching, vulnerability monitoring, and remediation.
- Support communication of security risks and issues to internal stakeholders and customers.
- Ensure compliance with FDA, EU MDR, ISO/IEC 27001, IEC 62443, and other global standards.
- Continually monitor emerging threats and technologies to proactively enhance security.
- Ensure alignment with BD development policies and software quality frameworks.
About You
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, or related disciplines.
- 10+ years experience in product cybersecurity - ideally in medical or regulated environments.
- Proven leadership experience managing and developing teams.
- Strong expertise in secure development practices, architecture, and regulatory compliance.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH are advantageous.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with embedded systems, IoT, or cloud-connected devices.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps methodologies, tools, and workflows.
