Position: Quality Engineer

Employment Type: Full-time/C2C

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer with an active U.S. Government Security Clearance to join our team. The ideal candidate will support quality assurance activities across remote, distributed teams and ensure all processes meet regulatory, contractual, and internal standards. This role involves close collaboration with engineering, operations, supplier partners, and program management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance processes, procedures, and documentation.
  • Perform root cause analysis, corrective actions (RCA/CAPA), and preventive actions for product and process issues.
  • Conduct process audits, product inspections, and compliance assessments to ensure adherence to industry, customer, and internal standards.
  • Support risk management, including FMEA, control plans, and process capability analysis.
  • Monitor and track quality metrics, generate reports, and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support design reviews, supplier quality, and configuration management activities.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, AS9100, CMMI, or other applicable quality frameworks (based on industry).
  • Participate in contract and customer meetings, providing quality oversight and technical expertise.
  • Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs) and support MRB processes.
  • Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with security protocols and federal regulations.

Required Qualifications

  • Active U.S. Security Clearance (Secret, Top Secret, or TS/SCI—specify).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related technical field.
  • 3–7+ years of experience in quality engineering or a related role.
  • Strong working knowledge of quality standards (ISO 9001, AS9100, MIL-STD, or industry-specific equivalents).
  • Proficiency in root cause analysis, statistical tools, and quality methods (5 Whys, Fishbone, SPC, PPAP, etc.).
  • Experience with audit processes (internal, supplier, regulatory).
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment.
