Director of Information Technology – Healthcare Industry

📍 Location: Onsite, 5 days per week (occasional remote flexibility)

About the Role

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of IT to lead and manage core technology infrastructure and support services for a leading healthcare organization. This role is critical to ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of systems essential to patient care and operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of 8 IT professionals across network, server infrastructure, storage, help desk, and data analysis.
  • Oversee VDI environments (VMware vSphere/ESXi, Horizon View, VX Rail), golden image patching, App Volumes, and Imprivata integration.
  • Ensure high availability of infrastructure systems, including Pure Storage arrays and LAN/WAN networks.
  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and IT projects from planning to execution.
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and collaborate on security and data integrity.
  • Support HL7 interface development and optimize Microsoft 365 tools.
  • Drive long-term IT strategy and evaluate emerging technologies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 10–15 years of progressive IT experience, including 5+ years in leadership.
  • Healthcare experience required.
  • Technical expertise in VMware, Pure Storage, Imprivata, HL7, Microsoft 365, and network architecture.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

Work Environment

  • Onsite role with occasional remote flexibility.
  • Standard business hours with occasional after-hours support.
