Job Title: Human Resources Specialist
Job Duration: 6 Months Contract – W2
Job Location: Alameda, California – 94502 (Onsite)
Shift: Regular Shift 8AM - 5PM PST

Summary/Job Purpose:
Leverage extensive HR programs expertise to lead and manage responsibilities across various programs, including immigration, relocation and recognition programs. Strategically develop and drive HR projects to achieve initiatives aligned with business objectives, ensuring optimal performance and continuous improvement.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic oversight and administrative support, ensuring effective day-to-day operations
- Lead implementation and administration of human resources programs, policies and practices
- Proactively ensure that HR policies and practices are consistently applied to resolve a variety of issues
- Contribute to developing and enforcing HR policies, proactively resolving complex issues
- Innovate and optimize work processes, systems and programs
- Audit and verify employee information, ensuring compliance with human resources policies
- Manage and enhance mobility programs, supporting employee transfers and relocations
- Advises managers on mobility policies and practices; streamline processes
- Facilitates immigration status applications and employment authorization for employees and candidates
- Act as a primary partner and point of contact with legal counsel, government agencies and third-party vendors for immigration, relocation and other HR programs support
- Communicate and manage relocation packages; addressing and resolving escalated issues from employees
- Maintain updated knowledge of laws, regulations and procedures governing mobility (relocation and immigration) and other HR programs.
- Lead special HR projects, contributing to strategic initiatives and team goals.
- Perform other HR duties as needed including special projects as assigned
Education/Experience/Knowledge & Skills:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of five years’ professional level Human Resources experience; or Equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years professional level, HR Generalist or HR Specialist experience
- Biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry experience is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Workday experience highly preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of general human resources policies, procedures, labor laws and regulations
- Must be able to operate in a changing environment and be able to manage ambiguity
- Strong PC skills with advanced level required, including MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to develop effective relationships and partnerships with HR team and internal/external business partners at all levels of the organization
- Detailed oriented and proficient in conducting research and gathering and utilizing content from multiple sources
