- Manage expatriate and international assignments, including visas/work permits, relocation arrangements, cost analysis, contract documentation, and coordination of tax filings with external providers.
- Lead the annual compensation and bonus review cycle, including salary benchmarking, merit and promotion proposals, and bonus administration in alignment with global guidelines and local market practices.
- Act as HRIS data owner for the local population, ensuring data integrity, timely updates, streamlined processes, and the generation of accurate HR reports and analytics.
Compliance and governance:
- Serve as the subject matter expert on employment legislation, labor standards, and data privacy requirements for Hong Kong and, where relevant, China and other supported jurisdictions, ensuring HR practices and decisions are fully compliant.
- Manage employee relations and grievance cases with professionalism, discretion, and empathy, conducting investigations and recommending fair and compliant outcomes.
- Maintain, communicate, and regularly update HR policies, procedures, and workflows, ensuring alignment with both local statutory requirements and global company standards.
- Lead or support HR audit activities, ensuring accurate documentation, proper controls, and remediation of any identified gaps.
Talent management, learning, and development:
- Support talent mapping exercise and successors for key roles through regular talent reviews, assessments, and data-driven insights, aligned with business priorities
- Support functional leaders in defining capability needs and designing, coordinating, and tracking learning and development initiatives (e.g., leadership programs, skill-building workshops, coaching).
- Monitor development activity, internal mobility, and key talent metrics to continuously refine programs and strengthen the leadership and talent pipeline.
Qualifications and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including solid generalist exposure and prior experience in an HR Business Partner or equivalent client-facing HR role.
