Job Title: Azure Engineer – Managed Service Provider
Location: Fully Remote (must work Atlantic Standard Time – AST)

We are a Bermuda-based Managed Service Provider seeking a skilled Azure Engineer to join our fully remote team. This role focuses on Azure backend operations and platform migrations, providing the opportunity to work on complex cloud infrastructure projects while supporting our clients’ transition to Azure services.
Job Summary:
We are looking for an Azure professional with an intermediate or higher skillset, specializing in backend operations, automation, and infrastructure management. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with ARM templates, Azure policies, server builds, and migration to Azure services, and is capable of contributing to the planning and execution of cloud platform transitions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Azure backend operations, including automation, policies, and infrastructure management.
- Implement and maintain ARM templates, Azure policies, and server builds.
- Support the migration of on-premises SQL servers to Azure SQL (SaaS or PaaS).
- Evaluate and implement the use of containers and optimize Azure load balancer configurations.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to design scalable, secure, and efficient cloud solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Azure infrastructure issues as they arise.
- Maintain thorough documentation of systems, processes, and solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Intermediate or higher experience with Microsoft Azure backend operations.
- Strong knowledge of ARM templates, Azure policies, server builds, and infrastructure automation.
- Experience migrating on-premises SQL servers to Azure SQL (SaaS or PaaS).
- Familiarity with containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and load balancer optimization in Azure.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Must be available to work AST (Atlantic Standard Time) hours.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104) or Azure Solutions Architect (AZ-305).
- Experience with cloud security best practices and governance policies.
