About the Opportunity:
The organization is a global leader in cybersecurity, focused on protecting people, processes, and technologies powering modern businesses. This Systems Engineer II role is part of the Production Services team, responsible for engineering and maintaining production systems solutions in large-scale distributed environments.
Responsibilities:
• Understand complex technical systems architecture and recommend improvements
• Engineer and administer Linux environments for thousands of servers and virtual machines
• Troubleshoot server hardware issues
• Support large-scale deployments of servers and applications in internal datacenters
• Write scripts and programs for automation, tools, dashboards, and alarms using languages such as Python, Perl, PHP, JavaScript, or Go
• Participate in on-call rotations with team members
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science
• Experience with infrastructure technologies such as Linux, Windows, VMware, Docker, Kubernetes
• Configuration management experience with tools such as Puppet, Chef, or Ansible
• Experience writing technical documentation
• Knowledge of protocols (DNS, HTTP, SMTP, SNMP) and OSI model
• Experience with bare metal provisioning (e.g., Canonical MaaS), block storage solutions (e.g., TrueNAS), and container systems (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with monitoring solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix)
• Experience with CI/CD systems (GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins)
• Knowledge with configuration management tools (Chef, Ansible, Salt)
• Ability to self-learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
• Effective teamwork skills across distributed teams and time zones
• Strong attention to detail and decision-making abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to pass background and fingerprint checks as required by government customers

Compensation:
• The base salary range for this position for all U.S. candidates is $100,000 to $145,000 per year, with eligibility for bonuses and equity awards
