Job Description


Hiring: Director of Software Engineering (Remote — U.S. or Canada)

We’re looking for a proven engineering leader to guide multiple teams, elevate delivery quality, and build a modern, scalable SaaS platform. This role is ideal for someone who loves leading people, strengthening engineering culture, and driving operational excellence across the SDLC.


What You’ll Lead

You’ll oversee engineering teams responsible for building and scaling cloud-based applications using modern .NET and React frameworks. You’ll partner closely with product and executive leadership to shape technical direction, improve velocity, and embed quality early in the lifecycle through strong shift-left practices.


Your Focus Areas

  • Leadership & People Development: Build, coach, and scale high-performing teams; develop managers; set expectations, goals, and accountability.
  • Shift-Left Quality: Champion earlier testing, feedback loops, automated checks, and tighter engineering–QA alignment across the SDLC.
  • Technical Execution: Guide architecture, design, and delivery of secure, scalable SaaS features; drive best practices like code reviews, automation, CI/CD, and agile execution.
  • Cross-Functional Delivery: Partner with product to align roadmap, prioritize work, and ensure predictable delivery.
  • Global Team Management: Lead distributed onshore/nearshore/offshore teams with strong communication, alignment, and ownership.
  • Operational Excellence: Own KPIs, reduce technical debt, strengthen release discipline, mitigate risks, and improve team velocity.


What You Bring

  • 10+ years in software development with 5+ years leading engineering teams
  • Strong hands-on experience in .NET, React, and scalable architecture
  • Proven success managing distributed teams (onshore + nearshore + offshore)
  • Deep experience with SDLC rigor, automation, CI/CD, and shift-left strategies
  • Ability to build teams, develop talent, and elevate engineering culture
  • Track record of delivering and scaling SaaS products in complex environments
