About the Opportunity
We’re partnering with a global manufacturing organization embarking on a major Cisco Software-Defined Access (SDA) transformation. We’re seeking an experienced Senior Network Architect to lead and support SDA deployment activities across three initial US sites - before the rollout expands globally in 2026.
This is an ideal role for a seasoned engineer looking to supplement existing work with a flexible, high-impact engagement.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as a key technical resource for a multi-site Cisco SDA deployment.
- Work hands-on with Cisco DNA Center, SDA fabric architecture, and environment preparation.
- Design, implement, and troubleshoot LISP, VXLAN, control-plane, border, and edge node integrations.
- Integrate SDA with Cisco ISE, including identity-based access, device profiling, policy mapping, and TrustSec.
- Support segmentation strategy, group-based policies, user/device identity workflows, and telemetry.
- Collaborate with customer stakeholders and serve as a trusted advisor in a client-facing delivery environment.
- Contribute to automation efforts leveraging Cisco APIs, scripting, templates, and DNAC workflows.
- Provide documentation, knowledge transfer, and best-practice guidance to internal and customer teams.
What We’re Looking For
- 7+ years of enterprise network engineering experience.
- 2+ years hands-on experience in Cisco SDA deployments.
- Strong expertise in:
- Cisco DNA Center
- SDA fabric architecture (LISP, VXLAN, control/border/edge roles)
- ISE identity integration
- Network segmentation & policy design
- 802.1X and TrustSec
- Campus LAN design & operations
- Experience with network automation tools and Cisco APIs.
- Prior consultancy or customer-facing engineering experience.
- Preferred certifications: CCNP, CCIE, SDA Specialist, or equivalent.
