Start: January 2026 (with optional December handover)

Industry: Manufacturing

Engagement: Part-time Contract (20 hours per week)

Location: Fully Remote (US-based)

About the Opportunity

We’re partnering with a global manufacturing organization embarking on a major Cisco Software-Defined Access (SDA) transformation. We’re seeking an experienced Senior Network Architect to lead and support SDA deployment activities across three initial US sites - before the rollout expands globally in 2026.

This is an ideal role for a seasoned engineer looking to supplement existing work with a flexible, high-impact engagement.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as a key technical resource for a multi-site Cisco SDA deployment.
  • Work hands-on with Cisco DNA Center, SDA fabric architecture, and environment preparation.
  • Design, implement, and troubleshoot LISP, VXLAN, control-plane, border, and edge node integrations.
  • Integrate SDA with Cisco ISE, including identity-based access, device profiling, policy mapping, and TrustSec.
  • Support segmentation strategy, group-based policies, user/device identity workflows, and telemetry.
  • Collaborate with customer stakeholders and serve as a trusted advisor in a client-facing delivery environment.
  • Contribute to automation efforts leveraging Cisco APIs, scripting, templates, and DNAC workflows.
  • Provide documentation, knowledge transfer, and best-practice guidance to internal and customer teams.

What We’re Looking For

  • 7+ years of enterprise network engineering experience.
  • 2+ years hands-on experience in Cisco SDA deployments.
  • Strong expertise in:
  • Cisco DNA Center
  • SDA fabric architecture (LISP, VXLAN, control/border/edge roles)
  • ISE identity integration
  • Network segmentation & policy design
  • 802.1X and TrustSec
  • Campus LAN design & operations
  • Experience with network automation tools and Cisco APIs.
  • Prior consultancy or customer-facing engineering experience.
  • Preferred certifications: CCNP, CCIE, SDA Specialist, or equivalent.

Why This Role?

  • Flexible 20 hours per week-ideal for supplementing other commitments.
  • Fully remote for the entire engagement.
  • Work on a high-visibility SDA program rolling into a global deployment in 2026.
