Job Description
Our client, a fast-growing fintech startup backed by a larger personal finance company, is looking for an Associate Creative Director, Digital Design to join their team full-time. This is a senior-level individual contributor role, that will lead ideation and design execution for acquisition marketing campaigns and experiences, including in-app marketing. The Associate Creative Director, Digital Design will collaborate closely with Marketing, UX, Product, and Engineering teams.
This is a full-time, direct hire position that will be hybrid onsite 3x per week (Tues-Thurs) in Charlotte, NC. Relocation packages are available.
Associate Creative Director, Digital Design Responsibilities:
- Own the creative direction and production of high-performing assets across digital channels, such as landing pages and emails, that drive conversions.
- Partner with product marketing, strategy, and external partners to implement and optimize campaigns for targeting and performance.
- Design and optimize in-app experiences that engage users and support acquisition objectives.
- Maintain and evolve creative assets across web, email, in-app, and print, ensuring consistency and quality at every touchpoint.
- Support A/B testing initiatives and projects for long-term campaign efforts.
- Support maintenance and innovation of the design system to ensure scalability and cohesion.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and customer behavior insights to inform creative decisions.
Associate Creative Director, Digital Design Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years in agency, startup, or early-stage product environments designing consumer-facing digital experiences.
- Minimum 5 years in digital marketing with proven success in acquisition campaigns.
- Advanced proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience designing emails, landing pages, and in-app marketing experiences.
- Familiarity with Confluence, Jira, and HTML/CSS is a plus.
- Strong UI and visual design skills, including information hierarchy and customer journey mapping, is preferred.
- Ability to rapidly iterate and produce multiple concepts.
- Ability to translate insights and data into actionable design decisions.
- Excellent presentation skills and ability to articulate design rationale.
- Proven ability to mentor and lead creative processes.
- A strong bias for action and adaptability in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
