Mobile Application Developer
100% Remote- Occasional client meetings.
The role is 100% remote for Texas-based candidates, with only occasional onsite meetings — ideally within a two-hour travel window if needed (these visits are RARE).
This is a contract-to-hire opportunity.
The Mobile Application Engineer designs, develops, and supports mobile applications for iOS and Android. This role partners closely with business and technical teams to build high-quality mobile solutions, improve user experience, and maintain seamless system integrations.
Essential Functions
- Work with business teams to gather requirements, evaluate options, and deliver mobile app solutions.
- Design, develop, configure, and support mobile applications and related systems.
- Build and maintain integrations, APIs, workflows, and data connections across platforms.
- Recommend improvements, upgrades, and new technologies.
- Support application releases, enhancements, fixes, and ongoing maintenance.
- Mentor junior developers and uphold coding standards.
- Create wireframes, mockups, and solution designs.
- Manage app submissions and updates to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
- Monitor app performance and analytics, identifying opportunities to enhance features or user experience.
- Provide on-call support and resolve production issues.
- Perform other duties as needed.

- Works under limited supervision and exercises judgment in solution design and development.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, or related field.
- Six years of experience designing, developing, and supporting mobile applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a related field.
- Experience with mobile development tools and frameworks (e.g., Xamarin, MAUI, App Center, Firebase).
- Experience building native or hybrid iOS and Android apps.
- Experience developing .NET applications and deploying to Azure.
- Familiarity with Azure services (App Services, APIM, Service Bus, Functions, Logic Apps, etc.).
- Background in large-scale web or mobile interface projects.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git.
- Experience with Oracle or SQL Server using SQL/PLSQL.
- Strong project management capabilities.
Job Skills
- Mobile app deployment (App Center, Firebase, Sentry) for beta and production.
- Mobile-responsive web development (Bootstrap or similar).
- Proficiency with Visual Studio .NET, APIs (SOAP/REST), JavaScript, C#, AngularJS, Node.js, XML, and related tools.
- Understanding of secure coding practices and working with cybersecurity teams.
- Strong communication and multitasking skills.
- Ability to build effective working relationships and manage multiple priorities
