Senior Azure Data Platform Engineer (Hybrid - Barcelona, Spain) 🚀

Our international client is on the lookout for a Senior Azure Data Platform Engineer with SQL knowledge. You’ll be joining a highly skilled engineering team responsible for building and maintaining one of Europe’s most advanced Azure environments - at scale, with automation, security, and performance at its core.

What you’ll do
- Design, develop, maintain and optimize robust and scalable IT platforms, with a focus on cloud (mainly Azure) services, to meet business needs and performance standards.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using terraform
- Develop and maintain programs, including stored procedures, functions, and queries, to support various business needs.
- Review and improve code written by other team members to ensure best practices and performance standards.
- Develop and maintain PowerShell for automation, Azure modules and error handling.
- Ensure compliance with internal standards, security concepts, and operational requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data solutions that meet business requirements.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Azure Data and MS-SQL technologies + services and best practices, advising on their implementation.
What we’re looking for
- Strong technical knowledge in Terraform and Azure Services incl. Azure Synapse.
- Skilled in Bash and PowerShell scripting, with solid understanding of JSON and YAML.
- Exposure to Python, networking, and security hardening is a plus.
- Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions for version control and automation.
- Confident communicator and problem solver who thrives in a collaborative environment.
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
