About the Role:
Infrastructure & Hybrid Environment Management
- Administer on-prem domains, Windows Server, Active Directory, and GPO
- Maintain and optimize hybrid infrastructure across multiple locations
- Ensure performance, uptime, and continuity across offices and partner firms
Azure & Cloud Administration
- Architect and manage Azure compute, storage, networking, identity, and security
- Lead cloud adoption initiatives and drive our cloud-first roadmap
- Manage Azure AD/Entra ID, hybrid identity, Conditional Access, and MFA
- Support cloud migrations, resource optimization, and cost governance
Security, Compliance & Governance
- Align systems with SOX, GDPR, FTC Safeguards, and industry standards
- Implement identity security, privileged access, and system hardening
- Partner with MSPs, auditors, and internal teams on compliance and controls
- Build IT documentation, SOPs, and governance standards
Advanced Support & Troubleshooting
- Act as Tier 3 escalation for server, network, cloud, and endpoint issues
- Collaborate closely with MSP partners and internal stakeholders
- Lead root-cause analysis and long-term remediation
Project Leadership & M&A Integration
- Lead cloud migrations, server upgrades, disaster recovery planning
- Own IT integration workstreams for M&A: domains, identity, applications, security
- Create runbooks, documentation, and knowledge resources
What We’re Looking For:
Experience
- 5+ years in systems administration or infrastructure engineering
- Experience supporting public accounting or regulated environments
- Background with Managed Service Providers (MSPs)
- Prior involvement in M&A integrations
Technical Skills
- Advanced Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, governance, networking, security)
- Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, hybrid identity
- PowerShell/scripting for automation
- Understanding of compliance frameworks common to accounting firms
