Job Description


Tyto Athene is searching for a Systems Administrator/Information System Security Officer to join our CA team.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide system administration of Windows-based computers, networks, and server administration, Linux system and server administration.
  • Research, generate, and validate security controls that support the customers’ Risk Management Framework (RMF) and ICD 503 Security Accreditation
  • Define, create, and maintain Systems Security Plans (SSP) to support Accreditation and Authorization (A&A) reviews and coordinate with customer security organizations as part of a delivery pipeline to achieve Authority to Operate (ATO)
  • Provide system administration of Linux systems.
  • Maintain an inventory of hardware and software for the information system
  • Manage Hyper-V and virtual machines.
  • Interface with customer IT staff
  • Cybersecurity baseline management and change reporting as needed.
  • Resolve issues and develop strategies to make ongoing improvements that support system performance.
  • Document system requirements, write IT security plans, validate system, and network parameters to conform with business and customer requirements.
  • Support system evolution to keep up with new technologies and requirements.
  • Support system users.
  • Provide onsite support.


Required:

  • 3 or more years of hands-on Systems Administration experience including Windows based computers, network, system, server administration; Linux system and server administration.
  • Experience working with government secure networks and NIST RMF Processes, audit log reviews and evidence submission
  • Experience working with and supporting a diverse team of system users.
  • ISSO experience, ability to develop solutions to complex IS compliance and security problems
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Onsite support is required.


Clearance:

  • Active DoD Top Secret or Top Secret/SCI clearance. Maintain active clearance at the required clearance level.

  • This position is on-site in Santa Barbara California, relocation assistance is available
