Job Description
About the job
Lucas James Talent Partners is partnering with Phothera, a subsidiary of Madison Medical (part of Madison Industries), to hire a Digital Marketing Manager. This is a fully remote, high impact opportunity to build Phothera’s digital growth engine from the ground up and transform how dermatologists and patients discover home phototherapy.
About Phothera
At Phothera, we are transforming the future of phototherapy to make people safer, healthier, and more productive. Chronic skin conditions like Psoriasis, Atopic Dermatitis, and Vitiligo can be life altering, and many traditional treatments are costly or carry significant side effects. Phototherapy is a well-established, non drug based treatment option that is safe and clinically supported—giving payers a low cost alternative, providers a simple clinical tool, and patients the ability to receive treatment in the clinic or at home under licensed guidance.
Through innovative phototherapy devices and a commitment to expanding access, Phothera is improving outcomes, reducing healthcare costs, and reshaping how chronic skin conditions are treated. We are seeking entrepreneurial digital marketing leaders who want to help accelerate this growth and build meaningful, long term impact.
About the Role
The Digital Marketing Manager will own Phothera’s performance and acquisition strategy across both clinician and patient audiences. This is a builder role: you will design, launch, and optimize full funnel digital programs that increase awareness of home phototherapy, drive dermatologist engagement and adoption, and support patient acquisition and conversion.
You will be hands on in platforms, comfortable testing new AI driven tactics, and deeply fluent in data, attribution, and funnel dynamics. Reporting to the VP of Marketing, you will be the primary owner of digital growth while partnering closely with sales, operations, and patient support in a fast moving, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Build and execute an end to end digital marketing strategy focused on dermatologists and other clinicians, with a secondary focus on patient acquisition
• Design and manage performance campaigns across channels such as LinkedIn, Google Ads, Meta/Instagram, YouTube, and HCP specific platforms (e.g., Doximity, Medscape, WebMD)
• Use NPI based targeting and other clinician level tactics to reach providers with relevant, timely messaging
• Architect digital funnels that move clinicians from awareness to first prescription to recurring prescriptions, including retargeting, nurture, and activation programs
• Support patient acquisition and conversion through paid search, retargeting, and high intent journeys from interest to consult to therapy
• Build and optimize marketing automation workflows aligned to Salesforce and other systems, ensuring smooth handoffs to field sales, access teams, and patient support
• Own tracking, analytics, and attribution across GA4, ad platforms, and Salesforce to create a clear view of performance
• Run structured experimentation across audiences, creative, landing pages, and bidding strategies to identify and scale winning tactics
• Leverage AI tools to improve workflow efficiency, accelerate iteration, and stay ahead of evolving search and discovery patterns
• Collaborate with sales and leadership to align digital programs with territory plans, commercial priorities, and upcoming initiatives
• Monitor competitive trends and digital health best practices to identify new opportunities and channels
What Success Looks Like
• Growth in qualified dermatologist reach, engagement, and prescription activity driven by digital programs
• Efficient and predictable acquisition costs for both clinicians and patients, with ongoing improvement
• Strong funnel conversion from awareness to first prescription to recurring prescriptions
• Well designed, automated journeys that reduce friction for clinicians, staff, and patients
• A unified analytics view that ties digital activities and spend to outcomes
• A culture of experimentation, iteration, and AI enabled innovation across digital initiatives
Required Qualifications
• Significant hands on digital or performance marketing experience, ideally within healthcare, MedTech, digital health, pharma, or a related space
• Proven experience marketing to clinicians or HCPs; dermatology or chronic condition experience is a strong plus
• Demonstrated ability to build and optimize campaigns in LinkedIn, Google Ads (Search + Performance Max), Meta, and programmatic or HCP focused channels
• Strong command of funnel design, segmentation, and NPI or provider level targeting
• Expertise with analytics tools such as GA4 and comfort building or interpreting dashboards
• Experience with CRM and marketing automation platforms (e.g., Salesforce + MAP) and designing end to end nurture workflows
• Highly analytical with the ability to diagnose tracking or conversion issues and implement solutions
• Hands on experience using AI tools in marketing workflows (research, creative iteration, testing, optimization) and understanding of AI driven search behavior
• Builder mentality with a strong bias for action; comfortable in fast moving and ambiguous environments
• Strong communication and cross functional collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
• Dermatology, phototherapy, or specialty care marketing experience
• Experience in digital health organizations where clinicians prescribe treatments or devices
• Experience with HCP advertising platforms such as Doximity or Medscape
• Background building digital programs from early stage or first hire environments
• Experience in startup or high growth organizations
Compensation and Benefits
• Base salary: $120,000 – $150,000 per year, commensurate with experience, location, and market conditions
• Comprehensive benefits package through Madison Medical / Madison Industries
• Fully remote role based in the United States
• Significant opportunity for career growth as digital becomes a core commercial driver
