Salary Range
$117,790 - $168,272 Annually

The Applications Director’s role is responsible for managing and overseeing the development, implementation, andmaintenance of our organization’s applications and systems. This is accomplished by having expertise in management,SQL, data architecture, project management, and Information Technology practices that will be essential in ensuring theefficiency, effectiveness, and security of our organization.
Essential Functions
- Oversee the entire life-cycle of applications, including development, testing, implementation, and maintenance. Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure that applications meet business requirements andadhere to industry standards.
- Manage a team of application staff, database administrators, and other Information Technology professionals. Provide guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Possess a strong knowledge of SQL databases and data architecture principles. Design and optimize database
- Lead and coordinate application development projects for initiation to completion. Develop plans, allocate
- Monitor the performance of applications and systems, identify bottlenecks or areas of improvement, and implement
databases and database objects (tables, stored procedures, indexing and statistics) ensuring stability, reliability and
performance.
Minimum Qualifications
Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying.
A typical way to obtain that required qualification would be:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of ten years relevant experience.
- Any combination of education and experience which demonstrates the candidate’s ability to perform successfully
- Must possess and maintain a valid State of Florida Class E Driver's License.
- Strong knowledge of SQL databases, data modeling and data architecture principles.
- Proficiency with project management methodologies and tools.
- Familiarity with IT best practices and security standards.
- Solid understanding of software development life-cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
