[Relocation to Kuwait] We are seeking a Senior Android Developer with a strong foundation in Kotlin and modern Android development practices. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of professional experience in Android development and demonstrate a thorough understanding of Jetpack libraries and Modern Android Development (MAD) principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Android applications in Kotlin
- Implement modern Android components using Jetpack libraries (e.g., Navigation, ViewModel, Room, LiveData)
- Apply best practices aligned with Modern Android Development (MAD) principles
- Develop UI using Jetpack Compose (experience is a must)
- Collaborate with product managers, UI/UX designers, and backend engineers to deliver seamless mobile experiences
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications through rigorous testing and code reviews
- Maintain clean, scalable, and well-documented code
- Stay current with emerging technologies and Android development trends
Qualifications
- Willing to Relocated to Kuwait
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Android development using Kotlin
- Proficient in Jetpack libraries and familiar with Modern Android Development principles
- Experience or strong familiarity with Jetpack Compose
- Solid understanding of architectural patterns such as MVVM or Clean Architecture
- Experience working with RESTful APIs, Git version control, and agile development methodologies
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Experience in using project management tools like Jira and confluance
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the banking, fintech, or financial services sector
- Familiarity with mobile application security best practices
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks
- Contributions to open-source Android projects or active GitHub portfolio
