About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to join our remote QA team. The ideal candidate should have strong testing skills, hands-on experience with manual and/or automation testing, and the ability to ensure high-quality software releases.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, execute, and maintain test cases, test plans, and test scripts.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.
- Identify, document, and track defects using standard bug-tracking tools.
- Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and project teams to resolve issues.
- Create or maintain automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.).
- Conduct API testing using Postman, RestAssured, or similar tools.
- Ensure thorough test coverage and maintain QA documentation.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and contribute to continuous quality improvement.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3–8+ years of experience as a QA Engineer (Manual, Automation, or both).
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, QA methodologies, and testing processes.
- Hands-on experience with testing tools such as:
- Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, TestNG, JUnit
- Experience with API testing and automation.
- Strong scripting/programming skills in at least one language:
- Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#
- Experience working with Git, CI/CD, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or related tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with performance testing (JMeter, LoadRunner).
- Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience testing mobile applications.
- Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker/Kubernetes
