AWS DevOps Engineer
£47,500 - £60,900 • Fully Remote (UK)
Leidos is hiring an AWS DevOps Engineer to join the LCST Programme – supporting one of the UK’s most important defence supply chain modernisation efforts. If you’re hands-on with AWS, Terraform, automation, CI/CD, and SecDevOps, this is a proper meaty role with a lot of technical depth and impact.
What you’ll be doing:
- Build and manage secure AWS infrastructure (EC2, ECS/ECR, VPC, RDS, Lambda, IAM etc)
- Write IaC with Terraform + config management using Ansible
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins
- Automate everything you can (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
- Work with Docker, container orchestration, monitoring (CloudWatch), and secrets management
- Support deployments, troubleshooting, DR, patching, and performance optimisation
- Work fully in Agile/Scrum – planning, stand-ups, retros, the lot
- Design scalable, resilient, cost-efficient cloud-native solutions
What you’ll need:
- Strong AWS DevOps experience
- Hands-on with Terraform, Jenkins, Docker, scripting (Python/Bash/PowerShell)
- Experience with RedHat + Windows admin
- Good grounding in networking, security, routing, load balancers
- Comfortable with automation, CI/CD, troubleshooting, and cloud security best practices
- Must be a UK citizen + able to obtain SC clearance
Nice to have:
- AWS DevOps Pro cert
- Ansible, CloudFormation/CDK
- ITIL experience
- Knowledge of Active Directory/ADFS
