Job Title: Data Engineer, Cloud Platform
Type: Full-time Employee (W-2) position
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of relevant technical experience.
Residence: Current U.S. residence and within U.S for 3 of the past 5 years.
Location: 100% United States (U.S.) Based Remote with ALL being performed within the U.S.
Trail Pass: U.S. Citizenship required to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

About the Role:
Via Logic LLC is seeking a Cloud Platform and Data Engineer (SME Level: Computer Systems Engineer/Architect) to design, build, and maintain secure, scalable, and cloud-native data infrastructures.
This role will focus on developing and optimizing data pipelines, storage systems, and automation frameworks that power analytics, intelligence, and mission-critical decision-support systems across multi-cloud environments.
The ideal candidate combines deep cloud engineering experience with strong data architecture and automation expertise.
Basic Requirements:
- 10+ years of technical experience designing and deploying secure, scalable cloud solutions
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Must meet public trust clearance requirements
- MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN AND RESIDE IN THE U.S. All work must be performed in the U.S.
- Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Public Trust U.S. citizenship is mandatory, as this work is for a federal government client. Candidates will need to successfully complete a Background Investigation (BI) and credit check prior to beginning work. Nothing in applicants’ history should prevent them from obtaining a public trust security clearance.
Core Responsibilities:
- Design and implement cloud-native data pipelines and storage architectures supporting large-scale analytics workloads.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code solutions using Terraform, Python, and CI/CD tools for automated provisioning and deployment.
- Architect scalable, resilient cloud data environments leveraging AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Optimize data ingestion, transformation, and distribution frameworks for performance, security, and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with DevSecOps, data science, and software teams to align platform engineering with business and mission objectives.
- Integrate and manage containerized workloads using Kubernetes, Docker, and related orchestration tools.
- Support monitoring, logging, and observability pipelines for system reliability and uptime.
- Ensure compliance with FedRAMP, NIST, and FISMA frameworks for secure federal cloud environments.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 10+ years of experience in cloud engineering, data engineering, or platform architecture.
- Expertise in AWS, Azure, and/or GCP cloud services and architectures.
- Proficiency in Terraform, Python, and CI/CD automation (GitLab, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions).
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes, containerization, and microservices deployment.
- Proven experience with data pipelines, ETL workflows, and cloud-based storage optimization.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset with a focus on automation and performance.
- U.S. Citizenship required (Public Trust eligibility).
