A globally renowned hedge fund based in New York is expanding one of its most profitable and fastest-growing technology groups. The firm is hiring elite Software Engineers to build the large-scale systems that power research, trading, and analytics across its entire equities platform

The Opportunity

This team operates at the intersection of cutting-edge engineering and high-performance trading. Software Engineers here build mission-critical systems used by researchers, traders, and portfolio managers globally.

The engineering culture is fast, commercially minded, and deeply collaborative, closer to a high-performance tech startup than traditional finance. Engineers take end-to-end ownership and see the direct PnL impact of their work

What you'll work on

• High-performance research, execution, and trading systems.
• Large-scale distributed computing infrastructure and data pipelines.
• Backtesting engines, portfolio analysis platforms, and advanced analytics tooling.
• Performance engineering, low-latency optimization, and real-time systems architecture.

Experience required

• Exceptional engineering ability in Python, C++, or similar.
• Experience in complex systems engineering, distributed systems, infra at scale, low-latency systems, or high-throughput data pipelines.
• Strong communication, clarity of thought, and the ability to work closely with researchers/PMs
• Evidence of ownership and initiative, engineers who solve problems without waiting to be asked.
• Strong academic track record (preferably 3.7+ GPA) from a top-tier STEM program.
• Candidates from top tech, unicorn startups, or quant trading environments are particularly relevant.
