They are seeking a seasoned professional with deep expertise in AWS cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes orchestration, and a proven ability to lead teams, influence decisions, and drive best practices across engineering. In this role, you will architect scalable systems, mentor DevOps engineers, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our infrastructure is secure, efficient, and future-ready. This is both a hands-on technical leadership role and a team-enablement position.

Responsibilities

 ● Technical Leadership

○ Architect and implement robust, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure on AWS

○ Design and maintain Kubernetes clusters for high availability, performance, and security

○ Drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using tools such as CloudFormation

○ Lead incident response and root cause analysis for infrastructure-related outages

● Team Leadership & Collaboration

○ Act as a technical mentor and guide to a team of DevOps, SREs, and Platform Engineers

○ Collaborate with developers, security, and product teams to define infrastructure needs

○ Establish and enforce infrastructure standards, best practices, and governance models

○ Drive adoption of DevOps principles and cloud-native tools across engineering

● Project Ownership

○ Lead infrastructure initiatives end-to-end: planning, execution, delivery, and documentation

○ Own the CI/CD architecture and collaborate on delivery pipelines and deployment strategies

○ Continuously assess cost optimization and performance tuning opportunities on AWS Requirements

● Technical Skills (Hard Skills)

○ 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and maintaining AWS infrastructure

○ Strong Kubernetes expertise (EKS preferred): provisioning, monitoring, scaling, and securing clusters in production environments.

○ Deep experience with IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi)

○ Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD, etc.)

○ Solid knowledge of networking, security best practices, and container lifecycle management

○ Experience with monitoring/observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Datadog

● Leadership & Soft Skills

○ Proven ability to lead and influence infrastructure/DevOps teams

○ Strong interpersonal skills - able to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

○ Effective in decision-making, prioritizing trade-offs, and managing delivery timelines

○ Strong mentoring mindset: nurturing junior engineers and building team capabilities

○ High level of ownership and accountability with a proactive, solution-oriented attitude

Bonus points

● AWS Certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer)

● Previous experience in startup or high-growth environments

● Familiarity with FinOps or cost-governance frameworks for cloud infrastructure Our partner offers

● Work from anywhere (even in pyjamas!): They are a fully remote team, so whether you're coding from your favorite café, your living room, or a cozy corner in Hungary (where most of their team is based), you’re good to go.

● Flexible Hours: Early bird? Night owl? No problem! As long as the job gets done, they don’t mind when you clock in. Get your work done on your schedule, and balance your life the way you like it.

● Cutting-edge tech: You'll be working with a truly innovative cloud-based EEG platform. It’s healthcare, but cooler (think life-changing without the sticky electrodes).

● Collaboration overload: Join a team that values communication and teamwork. Expect plenty of collaboration across projects and regular interaction with your colleagues.

● Growth opportunities: They are a growing company, which means you'll have the chance to grow with them. Want to lead projects? Build new skills? They’ve got your back.

● Fun vibes: They’re serious about their work, but they don’t take themselves too seriously. If you appreciate a good GIF or meme mid-project, you’ll fit right in.
