Inkle is Looking for:

As an AI/ML Engineer reporting to our Engineering Lead, you''ll own our product''s AI capabilities from conception to deployment. Working alongside product managers and designers, you''ll tackle complex challenges, architect scalable solutions, and collaborate cross-functionally to create exceptional user experiences. You''ll initially be our sole AI/ML Engineer, with plans to expand the team.

Responsibilities:

• Own the end-to-end development and performance of our AI agents, ensuring accuracy tracking and continuous optimization.
• Build and maintain AI systems using both agent orchestration frameworks and fine-tuned models for specialized tasks.
• Manage AI integration points across the product—collaborating with engineering teams to ensure seamless interactions between AI components and underlying systems.
• Supervise and mentor AI/ML interns as the team grows.
• Enhance data pipelines to improve availability and quality for all agents.
• Optimize prompts and implement architectural improvements for efficient agent maintenance.
• Monitor industry trends to propose new AI-driven features and capabilities.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize AI system performance.
• Lead cross-functional projects as needed.
  
  
  

Who we’re looking for:

• 3+ years of experience building production AI agents and ML systems.
• Hands-on expertise with LLMs, agent orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex), and vector databases.
• Experience fine-tuning transformer models (BERT, GPT, or similar).
• Strong understanding of ML deployment and MLOps practices.
• Proven ability to integrate AI capabilities into user-facing products.
• Self-starter who proactively identifies opportunities and drives solutions.
• Adaptable to rapid changes in the generative AI landscape.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
• Passion for continuous learning and staying current with AI advancements.
